Inspired by 2000s Japanese Rock and Visual Kei
aesthetics, the Angel Autopsy collection is created as an
unconventional exploration of the transgender experience. Positioned as an imaginary clinic, it is a place where identity resists binary definitions and transformation becomes both
a medical and spiritual journey. The imagery depicts self-mutilation as medical necessity (gender-affirming surgery), self-fetishization as empowerment (shibari bondage), and
the body horror implications of gender dysphoria. The transgender experience is not pleasant, and should not be depicted like one.
